Marmalade Lane
Marmalade Lane is a housing development like no other. The 42 houses and apartments are the result of a collaborative design process that involved the residents, developers (TOWN) and architects (Mole) working together to produce a new community, with individual homes centred around communal space and shared facilities. The result is the UK's largest co-housing development, with a shared sense of achievement and belonging.
Jim Stephenson is a film-maker concerned with the documentation of architecture, design and the built environment. Trained in architecture, Stephenson worked for a number of practices before turning to photography and eventually film making.
His films focus on the process of architecture, and the way people interact with it and are hallmarked with a quiet, calm approach.
